A Fall Wedding in Dreamy Pastels and Deep Mauve at The Tower Club

Fall weddings don’t have to be all terracotta and burgundy. Take for example, this stunning wedding that celebrates muted pastels and deeper autumn hues together in one palette. The result is something playful, elegant, and 100% romantic for the October wedding celebration.

Floral Design: Chic, Romantic, a Reflection of Dance

The floral vision for this wedding was to reflect the bride’s love of dance and ballet into all floral aspects. In the color palette, we used soft, muted pastels to tie in the ballet aesthetic, and added in some deeper mauves, plums, and burgundies for depth and as a nod to the season. The bride’s bouquet included a romantic mix of roses, butterfly ranunculus (with lots of movement to touch back on her dance background), delphinium, stock, lisianthus, and little fall mums in a unique mauve/burgundy color.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place at the beautiful National Avenue Christian Church. The couple envisioned florals that paired well with the light blue walls and deep red carpet. We achieved a cohesive look here by creating two arrangements to sit on the church’s columns, filled with a beautiful mix of pastel blooms (including a light blue), and also the warmer deeper shades that complemented the red carpeting well. Since the church is so pretty on its own, this was an ideal way to add a pop of floral elegance with the existing beauty of the chapel.

The Reception

After the ceremony, the celebration moved into the The Tower Club in downtown Springfield. The tables were set with three different styles of arrangements:

  • Tall arrangements in trumpet-style glass vases

  • Low, lush designs in footed gold bowls

  • Floral wreaths styled around lamps for a cozy, romantic glow

All of the tables and chairs were covered in white linens, which really made the colorful blooms pop, and the candles peppered throughout all of the tables, along with the cozy lamps created an intimate ambiance, even in a large ballroom.

The mood of the evening was both chic and playful, perfectly fitting for young newlyweds who are both professional performers. A perfectly choreographed first dance, wedding portraits taken in the theater they once performed in, and plenty of TikTok moments made the entire wedding day feel joyful, relaxed, and completely them.
