A Colorful June Wedding at Graystone Valley

There’s something so delightful about designing florals for a wedding that’s just bursting with joy and color! This late-spring wedding was exactly thatβ€”a beautiful blend of pastels with pops of more saturated color, all tied together with a freshly-picked vibe that made everything feel as if it had just been brought in from the most colorful garden in the Ozarks.

Photographed beautifully by Paige and Josiah.

The Aesthetic

This bride’s color palette was a dream for anyone who loves fresh late spring/early summer colors: soft peach, lavender, and dusty blue, with some brighter pops of salmon and a rich plum for depth. We included a variety of large, lush flowers, as well as textural detail blooms such as salmon pink garden roses, apricot and deep purple ranunculus for movement, snapdragons, chamomile, solidago, and bachelor’s buttons for some light, playful texture. Peonies that added softness and an additional touch of seasonal charm.

These flowers came together in a symphony of cheerful hues, creating an inviting and romantic atmosphere that perfectly complemented the light blue and rattan table top design elements at the stunning Graystone Valley.

The Ceremony

One of the most unique things about the Graystone Valley wedding venue is the view from their outdoor ceremony space. It sits high on a hill overlooking a showstopping, and quintessentially β€œOzarks” view. With the Ozark mountains as the backdrop and a big, beautiful octagonal arbor framed in flowers, the couple’s ceremony was as dreamy as it gets. The chairs had feminine baby blue bows tied on them facing the aisle, as well as clusters of colorful potted plants toward the front of the aisle as they walked to say β€œI do.”

The Reception

Once vows were exchanged, guests headed over to the reception space for a romantic celebration of love. Each table was decorated with a playful mix of artistic centerpieces or bud vases. Colorful arrangements brought in an element of locally grown, seasonal blooms, mixed with wedding staples. And those bud vases? The perfect touch to add that β€œfreshly gathered” aesthetic. The two centerpiece styles blended well with the modern indoor setting and gave each table its own personality.
